Safety implementation
Safety is managed through a combination of engineering controls, administrative measures, continuous safety education, and regular audits.
Engineering controls include critical safety features such as guardrails around platforms and openings, machine guards, limit switches, locking devices, excavation supports, ELCBs, circuit breakers for electrical work, and sensors that detect human presence in hazardous zones to control operations.
Administrative controls encompass Safe work methods along with the task based safety controls, supervision, clear signage, and comprehensive training/awareness programs. Additionally, we mandate the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), prohibit mobile phone use on the job, and enforce a strict no-entry policy for individuals under the influence of intoxicants.
Blue Star is dedicated to fostering a strong safety culture across all its facilities and worksites. This commitment is reinforced through ongoing training on statutory regulations, safety systems, and processes. Regular safety audits—conducted both internally by safety managers and externally by accredited safety agencies—ensure adherence to established safety standards.
Through the implementation of the Company’s comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System, Blue Star is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and environmentally sustainable workplace. The unwavering commitment to Safety is a core value that drives every aspect of Blue Star’s operations.
