The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has awarded central airconditioning major, Blue Star, an order for the total airconditioning works and Building Management System at the new integrated terminal building of Aurangabad airport valued at Rs 8.1 crore.
Blue Star's superior project management skills and impressive track-record of on-time completion helped it win this prestigious order. The Company has also bagged many other airport projects at Ahemdabad, Trivandrum, Mangalore, Nagpur, Jaipur, Amritsar, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Madurai, Dehradun, Pune, in addition to Aurangabad- together valued at Rs 74 crores.
At Aurangabad airport, the approximate area to be airconditioned is 1.9 lakh sq. ft. Blue Star's scope of work includes supply and installation of airconditioning systems of 1200TR comprising water cooled screw chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units, ducting, piping and grilles, amongst others. The scheduled completion time for the project is December 2008.
